OSHA Safe & Sound Week

August 2019

For our team at Ayars & Ayars, Inc., safety isn’t an option; it’s a necessity. In honor of OSHA’s ‘Safe + Sound Week’, we’re here to remind you of our dedication to ensuring the safety of our team members as well as the public at each and every one of our job sites.

Maintaining Strict Standards of Safety

KNOWING how to work safely requires LEARNING how to work safely first. Therefore, we understand that it is our duty to educate our employees on how to follow proper safety protocol.

When a new member joins our team, we make sure that our training process emphasizes following proper safety protocol at all times. Before job site training, we guide each new employee through our in-depth company safety manual to ensure that they understand its contents to the fullest. This is done regardless of any prior experience they may have in the construction industry, as no individual should ever be considered “smart enough” when it comes to safety.

‘Toolbox Talks’ are emailed company wide on a weekly basis as a part of our continual safety education. These are discussed on every job site with each crew. Constant lessons and reminders on how to follow proper safety protocol are essential to creating a safe job site environment for the public and our crew members.

Ensuring that our employees learn and understand how to follow proper safety protocol isn’t where our commitment to safety ends.

For our team, safe job site practices are the norm, and at Ayars & Ayars, Inc., they are the only ones we deem acceptable. In an industry where a crew member’s simple mistake can create a potentially dangerous situation for everyone on site, maintaining a safe work environment requires the care and commitment of every individual on the job at all times. Each of our team members realize that they must help one another and hold each other accountable.

We encourage every employee to speak up if they witness poor safety practices on the job site, and we stress to our employees that if they are unsure about something safety-related, they should ask for assistance before proceeding.

To further ensure that every individual on our team has the knowledge they need to reflect our safety-first mentality, Ayars & Ayars, Inc. sponsors the following training classes for each of our employees:

  • CPR, First Aid & Blood Borne Pathogen Training
  • Safety Training for Metal Buildings, Trenching, Fire Extinguishers, etc.
  • Fall Protection Training
  • OSHA 10-hour & 30-hour Training
  • Equipment Maintenance & Operation
  • Ayars Quality Leadership Training
