Job Summary: Special Projects Manager/Estimator
Ayars & Ayars, Inc., a Design-Build General Contractor in Commercial Construction is looking for a Full-Time Special Projects Leader for our Omaha, NE based location. The position is a duel role with lots of opportunity to adapt to the skills of the selected candidate. The primary focus is bidding work with existing clients and bringing in new clients. Someone that is able to work with and lead our special projects team would be considered an asset. Our special projects teams perform renovation and new construction projects for commercial and industrial customers. Most projects are performed around ongoing operations or during shutdowns. These projects often lead to larger scale work, so this group is considered a first line sales team.The successful candidate must be self motivated, detail oriented, capable of reading blue prints, able to plan, estimate, schedule crews and projects, order materials, and willing to travel in the Omaha area. Routine tasks will include planning weekly schedules, meeting with clients, and creating project proposals. The successful candidate should understand and be able to perform basic accounting, provide customer driven solutions, and be able to thrive in a fast paced work environment. The position also assists with marketing, account follow-up, and job estimating / invoicing. A minimum of 3 year’s experience in performing building maintenance and construction preferred, or college degree in construction management. The successful candidate should understand and preferably be able to perform basic masonry, concrete forming and finishing, and carpentry skills.
